Every patient’s circumstances are different, but ideal candidates for MyEllevate are typically men or women aged 50+ with moderate signs of aging and skin laxity and/or with prominent glands under the neckline. We also treat younger patients, particularly following weight-loss treatment.
Firstly, a local anaesthetic is applied to the treatment area in order to minimise discomfort. Once it has taken effect, your Doctor will make eight 1mm access points near the platysma muscle bands at the front of your neck.
The procedure is performed by ‘lacing up’ the neck’s underlying muscles and glands together using a thin, ICLED light-guided rod, which is passed under the skin between the access points to create a suture support system that immediately tightens and pulls the underlying neck structures together and adds fresh support to sagging areas.
You will see results immediately, but, for optimal results, we advise allowing a few weeks for any swelling to subside and for the skin to begin to form new collagen and elastin.
Though we advise 5-7 years, results can be permanent. However, MyEllevate won’t prevent further ageing, and the longevity of results is influenced by how you manage your weight and take care of your skin by avoiding unhealthy lifestyle choices such as smoking and excessive sun exposure.
